Good evening. I'm going to make this thread very quick. I have no issues of any kind with any expansion, just a problem downloading the password to extract the file for World Adventures.

As far as I'm concerned, extracting the files downloaded does not require any password of any kind. Ageha is right! Our torrents do NOT require password, you probably got your file from somewhere else and it's probably a fake and you have a right risk of getting infected, since usually 'legit' torrents don't have passwords in it. It's because the forum rules forbid 'outside download links': Note that we tend to be very strict with this kind of stuff not just for safety concerns of the users here, but also because the forum host threatened to shut down this forum multiple times.
I guess that your intentions weren't negative, but still: keep that in mind. And please, do not circumvent this by putting spaces or dots in-between the link URL. If you are having such big problems with getting a password necessary for.RAR extraction of a game, consider this: where did you download the game from? The requirement of a password is VERY rare for game downloads. And almost always, the password can be found on the page you downloaded the torrent or the file. Is that not the case with you? Then you can bet that the file is 99.9% a fake, and you shouldn't bother trying to get hold of a password.
Please follow the advice from and @Sim Architect regarding a download from Games4theworld. Also note that generally, we do not & cannot give support on releases from other uploaders, as we aren't familiar with all of them.

Answer: For RAR archives there is a shareware tool (that can try a brute force or a dictionary attack. The brute force attack for passwords of more than 5 characters takes pretty long already, the dictionary attack is more promising.
The shareware version only searches passwords up to a length of 4 characters, I found. If the file came from the ed2k platform (edonkey), then you may want to look for comments on the file. Unfortunately you cannot view comments once the file is completed, so you'll have to move the archive out of the shared folder, then search for the file again and start the download again. Wait a little, and you can - hopefully - view comments on it. Possibly one of the comments will indicate the password. If there are no such comments, then take a good look at the file name. It is common that the file name contains a.
part. The term in may just be the password. Examples: supersoftwaresecret9.rar supersoftwarepasssecret9.zip The password would be 'secret9' here.
Update: As someone posted in the comments section, if you downloaded an encrypted file from the edonkey network that may have been released by the 'Goldesel' crew, then try this password: ' www.goldesel.6x.to'. For some reason the Goldesel people felt to advertise their web site that way.
