Once verified that your accountant is indeed in public practice, we will send them a link to download AccountEdge and a serial number to register the software. With a registered copy of AccountEdge your accountant can install it on their computer and see how it helps you run your business.

I'm sorry I made you wait so long to chime in here, but I wanted to hear definitively from the developer. There are some distribution agreements in place that we weren't aware of preventing certain regions from accessing a localized version. Regions fall into 3 categories: US: Just download, enter your serial and go! UK, New Zealand, Australia, Asia: These are unfortunately areas we're having a problem with. The developer is attempting to work out a solution to get you guys software, but there's no guarantee. If you're in one of these regions and you bought the bundle for this app and want a refund, please submit a support ticket and it'll be taken care of promptly. Everywhere Else (Canada, Mexico, South America, Africa, Europe etc): You CAN get the license to your localized version.

Download the US version offered here and register it. Once you've done so the Developer's system will recognize you're not in the US and send you an e-mail with instructions to convert your license.

Again, if you're not fully happy, please do submit a support ticket here: and you will be taken care of! I have seen this before. For some countries, the complexity of international agreements, forces the sale of products to be handled by separate companies. As an example, AccountEdge AZ or NZ may be franchises. They may not be in a position to 'give' away their version of software, which is how they could see this promotion.

There may be government regulations which put up heavy roadblocks to negotiations and so the benefit is not worth the trouble. I am not saying this is the truth, but even companies like Apple and McDonald's have trouble with sales and so promotions can't be universal. Count me as another disappointed Australian. I checked the information posted on the MacHeist site (there was no exception list posted at that time) and also followed the developer links (which took me to the Australian MYOB site) before I purchased.

So I did attempt to do my research before purchasing. I am disappointed with both MacHeist and the developer for not checking this prior to making the offer live. I will wait to hear of the results of the developer's efforts to correct this before I apply for a refund.

Maybe, somehow, some good can still come of this. Savage0501 wrote: While I hear the complaints from many above, I warn you to avoid falling in the same trap as you are accusing MH of doing. World wide does not constitute North America and UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. There are in fact many more countries and in fact continents that this does not apply to. So please do not say this is not world wide, when in fact it only impacts a few countries world wide. While I agree with you in spirit, there is more that you should consider. You are correct in that World wide does not constitute North America and UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, but World wide does include North America and UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.

So by leaving those countries out of the offer for AccountEdge Pro does cause a bit of a sting for us folks wanting to participate in the bundle for a copy of AccountEdge Pro. As I'm sure you've read, initially the bundle did not include the words: This software as configured works in the US only. It is possible to get a converted license at no charge for most of the rest of the world with the following exceptions: UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Which is why this thread is populated by folks lamenting the lack of support for the left out countries. And seemingly the folks at MH either didn't know there was no support for those locations or they hoped they'd be able to obtain it before we noticed. For a bundle with a high price item meant to attract folks it leaves a lot of us out as well as a lot of money on the table.

As while those countries do not constitute World wide, they do carry a very large portion of the world's population. Kriana wrote: Good News everyone! I've confirmed that UK residents are able to get their localized version. If you're from another affected area, please contact MYOB support, they're willing to work with you to find an acceptable solution. (And if they can't, as I said, please submit a ticket and we'll be happy to give you a refund.) Wonderful news Kriana!

This makes me very happy to know and I will be joining the ranks of others purchasing the bundle. And it's great to know that MYOB will work with other affected locales to provide application support.

And thank you for the continued behind-the-scenes work to get this taken care of. Humpty wrote: A word of warning about AccountEdge in the UK. If you buy the software from Mamut you get locked into a 'service agreement' which costs a.minimum. of £150 a year, otherwise the software simply stops working. I used to use MYOB and it is good software but I will not accept this new business model. If I buy a license I should be able to use.that.

version for ever. Perhaps someone from MacHeist could confirm or refute that this is the case with the licence on offer here? A new worry for us in the UK then? Hardly an app worth $399, merely a '1st year free' on a £150 per year service.

Not cool at all if this is true. I got a reply and new serial front he support folks I contacted via email.

Everything is sorted and should be working out for myself. As for the subscription aspect, I am not sure if that will be the case for the UK version of the software. If the software is worth it I may not feel too bad about having to pay £150/year, though I would prefer not to. I can't blame the folks at MH for that though as it seems the version they brought to us, that did not include the support for those few countries, most likely did not include that licensing scheme.

Much as I love Macheist I can absolutely blame them for this. It's their responsibility to check the validty of the licences they sell us international customers. If they had said '.US Only' I wouldn't have bought.

I'm really hoping for a good solution here, but it's not looking that way. I have no interest in paying £150 per year for the app and I wouldn't have bought the bundle without it, I have most the other apps that interest me already. I understand that we can request a refund, but I don't really want to do that and I'd much rather have a licence without the annual fee as was sold to us in the bundle. I'm waiting for an official statement to decide what to do. BigMark wrote: Much as I love Macheist I can absolutely blame them for this. In that sense it's not their fault. They were true to their understanding. It is their fault though for not doing the due diligence to know what was really being offered and be upfront at the start of the bundle as to what/who/where was supported etc. In past bundles they were upfront about OS support, back when Snow Leopard was new.

I don't really see that being any different about understanding what region support there was for the licenses they were offering in the bundle. In short, I agree, they screwed up. You are in: » Acclivity AccountEdge Powerful upgrade for UK MYOB users This software is MYOB, upgraded, and with a principled licencing policy. Acclivity took over MYOB in the US in a management buyout. They develop the same range of software (for Mac and PC) under the new brand name, AccountEdge. There are US and Canadian versions - we prefer the Canadian version as it adapts more easily for the UK and EU VAT requirements. The interface looks great, but it does operate slightly differently than MYOB - it is upgraded, with some new features.

Accountedge Vs Quickbooks

With stock control issues may find Acclivity particularly appropriate.Due to licencing constraints you have to buy AccountEdge for the PC from Acclivity in the US rather than from a UK distributor. Free Conversion and Software for Business Companion Clients We have always concentrated on support for MYOB users. MYOB remains excellent software despite the poor marketing. But now UK users can now transfer to a version of the software that will work indefinitely and is up-to-date with latest operating systems. We can perform this conversion from your existing MYOB datafile. We are really pleased to be able to offer this conversion.

We will therefore make the conversion, for free, for any new client engaging us as a ' for a minimum of two years. This now means that any past MYOB User can use the software they love in an up-to-date format. We pay for your first single licence (you pay for any further licences you need - typically US $899 for five further licences). And we perform the upgrade for free.

We amend in the new defaults and parameters that the Acclivity software requires to be compliant in the UK. Training in Acclivity AccountEdge From time to time we run training courses using Acclivity Accountedge. For more details see our. Alternatively we can provide specific training for your needs at your site. Advantages of Acclivity With the recent launch of Acclivity AccountEdge 2016 Canada, there are more incentives for MYOB users considering the upgrade.

Features. It allows masses of multi users on PC. We have seen up to eleven simultaneous users!.

It will allow import of transactions from bank statements. If you buy Acclivity AccountEdge its serial number will last forever. The serial number is applied against the computer number, not the computer's IP address. That computer can be used in any location after it has been registered. It will install on the latest PC operating systems and latest MS Office products. There is no reconfirmation process. You are not mortgaged to any particular support arrangements.

If you take support from anyone it will be because you need it, rather than because they are forcing you to rent your software. VAT, Intrastat, EC sales list can all be supported. The VAT programing is more logical and compliant than in Mamut AE or MYOB. Stock control is very straightforward and has the full functionality developed since v11 (including locations, serial numbers, commitment management and stock reconciliation). The software links to an iPhone based AccountEdge mobile system which allows remote access.

The iPhone can be useful for (for example) the posting of sales invoices or staff expenses. This allows salesmen on the road to link in with client data. It has ODBC compliance built in (read only) Licencing Issues for New Users Mamut, the UK distributor of MYOB, will not distribute a PC variant of MYOB software as it would be a rival to their Mamut Enterprise PC range. Acclivity do not directly sell their software into the UK and Eire as this would be in breach of the no compete agreement they have signed with Mamut. We offer a UK template to circumvent this problem. Note that the licence is for the software, not the data. This will be a change for those who are used to MYOB's old licencing system.

The serial number is bought from Acclivity. It is bought once only: It does not age or expire, it is not subject to any reconfirmations. Each licence grants you use of the software for as many datafiles as you need on one computer. You can use multiple logins to have as many users on a datafile as you have paid licences for.

The licence is based on the IP address of the network card of the PC you register. Therefore you should deregister the program if you need to change your PC's network card, and reregister it afterwards. Buy Acclivity AccountEdge The software currently costs US$349 (about £266 - no VAT is payable) for a single user licence. Multiuser versions are available. For example a further five licences are available for US$899 (about £684). There are no compulsory rental / support fees. Although Acclivity is not available to buy directly in the UK, it can be bought online.

Buy from either the or the Test Drive Software Download a copy of Acclivity AccountEdge 2016 (for PC) from our Installation We have now successfully installed the Canadian version of Acclivity AccountEdge (PC) for sixty clients in the UK, Ireland and further abroad. We have even installed this software in Tanzania! We would be happy to help with your installation. Normally we convert MYOB datafiles to this most recent format.

Alternatively we can provide a template datafile with most of the parameters that you would need for £200 + VAT. There is a full range of default suppliers and processes (which is important for the way that VAT is handled in Acclivity).

The default coding depends on the choice of supplier and card name rather than nominal code. Therefore the correct VAT coding needs to be set carefully by supplier - we preset this within the template for you. Alternatively we can upgrade an existing.myo or.pls MYOB datafile directly into the new software.

The software comes in two versions. One works on the Mac and requires OS X10.7 to 10.11. The PC version requires Vista or Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10. MS Office for Mac or PC is a help, and it is better if this is installed before you install Acclivity AccountEdge.
